Hi, If someone had a child born out of wedlock back in 1869, can anyone tell me what the likelyhood of the father's name being on the birth certificate (if there was one) would be? If his name was on the certificate, would that make him liable to any type of penalty, monetary or otherwise? Many thanks for any help. Anne
