He was born in about 1826 also in Barnard Castle, but spent most of the intervening years in Tottenham grown plants - he is my G^2 grandfather. His father was George WARE and ironmonger "born in the same county" according to the 1841 census. His parents were probably George Ware and Jane Softley, who married in Barnard Castle St Mary's parish church on 5 October 1822. Geoff Nicholson
