I have only been researching a short while and I was advised to come here. Most of my ancestors come from Yorkshire and Lincolnshire and I have recently discovered a Co Durham connection. I am interested in the name Gates late 1800's of Byers Green. My knowledge of Co Durham isnt that good and if anyone knows of this family or can point me in the right direction I would be very thankful.
