Ann, My User Guide No1 from the Durham County Record Office tells me that Teesdale Registration District created in July 1837, contained/covered 21 parishes (Church of England) and assuming that each had a church and a graveyard and there also existed graveyards of other religious denominations..... that's a lot of cemeteries to cover. But you can reduce the size of the task by focussing on the specific place they died ( e.g. clues from their residences from census records) rather than the "District" in which their deaths were registered. The Co Durham section of the GenUKI web site, shows the towns, villages etc that lay in the Teesdale District juridiction. Auckland Reg District covered 20 parishes Michael Dixon
