    2. In a message dated 03/07/2007 12:54:49 GMT Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: Hi, have been searching for the date of birth and his parents, of Christopher Brotherton who married Mary Brown on the 8th. June 1817 at Hauten le Skern. Witness' were a John Brotherton, Mary Brotherton, John Perloff and Anne Bainbridge. They had two sons, Francis Christened 25th. April, 1819 at Wensley Yorkshire and Thomas Mason Christened 13th. May 1821 at Wensley, Yorkshire. There is a Christopher Brotherton in census up till 1861 - but he was married to a Jane and have not been able to find a date of death for Mary Brotherton which would have had to have been before 1821 when this Christopher married Jane. Any help gratefully welcomed. Thank you, Joyce Harnby nee Brotherton, email [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) Joyce: The NDFHS (Ancestral Indexes) burial index for Co Durham 1813-39, which covers ALL burials in the county for that period and is available for purchase on microfiche, has no suitable entry. It therefore looks as though Mary died in Yorkshire, where her children had been born. Perhaps someone on one of the Yorkshire Lists can help you there. Geoff Nicholson
