Hi Daphne, I haven't looked at the entry in the Bishop's Transcripts, but my guess is the place could be Battle Green, which is at Pelton Fell, a couple of miles NW of Chester-le-Street. Maybe someone else on the list could expand on how it got it's name, what was the battle?.
