Hi Kerry The medal cards are for WW1 entitlement and are available on Ancestry who also have the reverse of the cards scanned which in about 2% of cases may have the forwarding address on The same cards are available on the National Archives but not the reverse but there are other cards available not on Ancestry for certain higher awards or rather there may be an additional card on the NA Ancestry also have the (so called) Pension records for WW1 service and are making available the "Burned" records the surviving 30% or so of WW1 service records which were damaged/destroyed during WW2, they have currently A to N available I do not know of access to the Boer War medal rolls online but the following may help in your search :- http://yourarchives.nationalarchives.gov.uk/index.php?title=South_African_War_(Boer)_1899-1902 Best wishes Nivard Ovington, in Cornwall (UK) > Dear Nivard, > > Where does one look up medal cards?
