Hi Kerry, I am not sure if this has been pointed out to you before but there is a mention of a George Fred'k Copeland who died in South Africa in 1895 aged 19 in this index. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/NBL/DeathNotices/ It is an index of obituaries that appeared in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle for years 1885 - 1906 but there are some gaps because pages are missing etc. If you think this is the person you are looking for you might be able to get a copy of the page from the British Library Newspapers for which there is a link on the above page.
