Hi Helen, I think you mean Pemberton Street, which ran from Hendon Road to Moor Street, then continued as Woodbine Street which is still there. If you go to http://gis.durham.gov.uk/website/interMAP/viewer.htm and put the post code SR12NL in search it will show the location of Woodbine Street, Pemberton Street was the part nearest Hendon Road which is shown on the earlier maps.
