I am seeking information on my grandfather, James Price, and ggrandfather, Joseph Price. James was born Oct 1849 from the 1900 Census of Columbia County, Wisconsin or Oct 17, 1850 from his death certificate. On the 1882 marriage record his father is listed as Joseph. The space for his mother is blank. Thanks to the help others have provided I have a copy of his declaration of intention to become a US citizen. This told me he arrived in Baltimore on Apr 11, 1872 and was a "native of Stockton, England". Looking at the 1851, 1861 and 1871 Census reports of England and the Free BMD index, I have found five possible birth records. Liverpool, Vol. 20, p. 432; Wrexham, Vol 27, p. 298; two in Worcester, Vol 18, pp 560 and 588; Gloucestershire, Clifton, Vol. 11, p. 308. I do not want to order all 5 records. Does anyone on the list have access to any of these records so they could check to see if 1) Is the father's name Joseph and 2) Is the date of birth Oct 1849 or Oct 1850?
