Hi Cicilia, I can't help with who was living at 8 Inverness Street in 1929-30, but it is a street of ordinary single storey, double fronted "Sunderland" cottages, built for the upper working class. It is still there and you can see an aerial photo at http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=t4m94jgwjbjp&scene=22073383&lvl=2&sty=b&eo=0 No 8 is the third house up from Sutherland Street. I think it unlikely that a "Gentleman" and family would be living there, more likely a foreman or other such artisan. Hello, wonder if some kind soul could possible help me. I live in Sussex and always thought my family came from Sussex. have just discovered that my Grandmother lived in 929 - 1930 at 8 Inverness Street, Sunderland as a Lady's Maid. t would seem that The Sunderland City Library at Fawcett Street has the Kelly's irectory for that period and as I live in East Sussex and unable to travel to underland as I am a cancer patient undergoing treatment, I wondered if it would e possible if some kind soul could do a look up for me ? would dearly love to know the name of my Grandmother's employer who lived at 8 nverness Street, Sunderland. 1929-1930 s she was employed as a Lady's Maid, I am assuming it must be a "Gentleman" and amily. I would be very grateful to you if this is possible as my family history is ery important to me and I am desperate to record as much info for my children hilst I still can. ind regards, Cecilia ------------------------------ o unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ENG-DURHAM-request@rootsweb.com ith the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of he message
