Hello List, I am still looking for the family line of Thomas Ferry. b. around 1800 and married Elizabeth Smith 1820 Houghton-le-spring County Durham, England. I do have their marriage license. But not much on it to help with other names. So far I have found 6 children born to them and was hoping I could find more about Thomas and Elizabeth, exactly where they were born and their dates and the children. the Children's names were William abt. 1818 baptized West Rainton, Durham, England Jane 1818 baptized also West Rainton, Durham, England Thomas abt. 1820 also West Rainton, Durham, England Frances b. 5 Oct 1823 County Durham and have found she died 12 Jan 1824 John b. 5 Dec 1826 Easington Lane, County Durham and he is my husband's great grandfather. We have found most on him as he did leave England around early 1840's and come to United States landing in Pennsylvania and married Elizabeth Jane Willingham. I would also like to know more about Elizabeth Jane as she was born 1826 Yorkshire, but unfortunately all I can find on her is Yorkshire, Yorkshire, England. John and Jane married around 1845 in Pennsylvania Would someone know the route he would have taken to come to America that early? And where his ship landed? Now, back to Thomas and Elizabeth family. The last child I found of this line is Robert Smith Ferry b. 1828 Easington Lane, Durham, England. That makes 6 children born to Thomas and Elizabeth Smith Ferry that I know of.
