    1. [ENG-DURHAM] Help with census reading
    2. George Carter
    3. I`m picking up the family history tools after a lean spell and getting ready for our annual trip to the North East. So might be calling on your help again from time to time. Starting with- Could someone help with the reading of a occupation in the census. 1871 RG10 /4882 page 14, this taken from a saved image. I`m looking at my gr grandfather William CARTER & Eliza. I`ve previously read the occupation as Labourer in Iron Wrks. Which is possible. But have never been entirely happy as there seems to be something added on after Iron, if the word is Iron, which is stumping me. Any help appreciated. George Carter in Whaley Bridge
