    3. Hello Janet,   No joy, I'm sorry to say - your date being 20th century and the database being just "19th Century British Library Newspapers", but I looked through anyway using all your keywords, just in case I could find any pre-death snippetts about them. I also went through all the 1900-1916 Myers deaths in The Times archive (which goes up to 1985). Wish I could have found you something.   Regards, Adi --- On Thu, 4/23/09, Janet Hopkins <janetchopkins@hotmail.com> wrote: #yiv1484661935 .hmmessage P { margin:0px;padding:0px;} #yiv1484661935 { font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;} Hi Adi, Do you think that you could be so kind as to look up a Maria Myers, who died about 1915?  She would have been over 80 years old, and was living in Gateshead with her son Henry on the 1911.   I have been looking for years for her maiden name,  which was listed on two of her children's birth certificates differently.  One said Snalp, and the other said Swallop.  Maria, aka Minnie, was from Holland, and likely had a heavy accent when she was registering the births.  So, I have ordered the birth certs for three other children of hers that I found, (with hubby William Myers), and we'll see how they render the elusive Dutch surname.  I am thinking it was probably Schelb, Schaap, or Schelbach, or something similar. 3. Greetings from Cardiff. I am still looking for my Elusive Great,Great,Grandfather in the 1851 census. I have him in the 1861,71,81,91,and 1901 in Hubberston,Milford Haven West Wales. He was William Mckinley COULTHARD,who according to the 1871-1901 censuses he was listed as being born in Newcastle upon Tyne. The 1861 list's "Scotland"as his birthplace. The year? I hazzard a guess as to about 1823 to 1831.He was the son of William COULTHARD. [an "Engineer"in 1853]Mother's name unknown. He was married at Gateshead co;Durham in 1853 to Martha EVANS,[I have their Marriage Certificate]who born 1831 at Milford Haven. Martha is a missing girl too in the 1851. Although her Parents Henry & Jane EVANS are at Willington Quay,Northumberland in 1851.Henry was a "Customs Officer"in 1851. This Place was where William Mckinley COULTHARD and his young Wife Martha had their first child,William COULTHARD born in 1854.[information from his Birth Certificate] William Mckinley COULTHARD was a "Joiner"By Trade. He died on the 1st;of October 1906 aged 83 at Milford haven. I was born 40 years and one day later in Canton,Cardiff. Cheers,Graham. From:- Graham WILLIAMS of Canton,Cardiff. Glam;FHS;#551.

    1. [ENG-DURHAM] Pascoe In Durham
    2. Hello Durham List - I am dropping in on you as a member of both the Lancashire and Cumberland lists in the hope that you may be able to help me with a longstanding query I have had . It Concerns on - John Charles Pascoe - Born in Cumberland 1881 to Cornish parents - John and Ellen Pascoe nee Uren . the 1901 census shows John Charles as in Lodgings in Cleator Moor with one of his brothers - James Pascoe. I have never been able to get any further with this man's progress through life at , having checked Free BMDs etc . In the 1911 census I think I have found him listed as Charles Pascoe " living as a Lodger of Richard Brown at 53 Maple Street , South Moor , Stanley . Occupation Mine surface labourer. I noted that there was also a Charles Pascoe whom married an Easington Lass - Sarah Whitmore in 1918 but I now know that he was not my man ! He was in fact ,the son of One William Henry Pascoe instead. I do not know if John Charles ever married or --where when and how he died - I would be grateful for any and all assistance . Regards -- John

    3. Hi Kerry, I am not sure if this has been pointed out to you before but there is a mention of a George Fred'k Copeland who died in South Africa in 1895 aged 19 in this index. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/NBL/DeathNotices/ It is an index of obituaries that appeared in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle for years 1885 - 1906 but there are some gaps because pages are missing etc. If you think this is the person you are looking for you might be able to get a copy of the page from the British Library Newspapers for which there is a link on the above page. There are quite a number of Copeland entries so yo may find more of your family metioned here. Regards Jenny DeAngelis Spain. >>the Newcastle > 1911 Census. Hi Janet, It depends on the time frame you need to look at but try this. http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/NBL/DeathNotices/ It is a transcription of the Obits from the Newcastle Evening Chronicle, for a certain span of years, and is linked to the Genuki pages for Northumberland. The obits are not only for the Newcastle area but all from other parts of NBL and from County Durham too, with one or two farther afield thrown in for good measure too. You might be lucky and find something belonging to you. 3. Hi Daphne, Thank you so much for the link! I found one of my Myers family, but unfortunately, not Maria Myers, who died about 1915. I think that I might have found a death record for her on freebmd. She lived in Gateshead in 1911, aged 80, but a death is listed in 1915 in Lanchester, Durham, that might be her.
