My mother Jean Victoria Wile was a relative of Jane SNEDDEN born about 1910, her father was John R. SNEDDEN, mother Margaret Ann WILE b. 1874 in Durham they married in 1897. Jane SNEDDEN married an Eric IRWIN about 1930, I visited them when they (Jane and Eric) lived at Mayfield above shops on the main road, and before that at a small house on the side of a tram track, in a suburb of Newcastle. They had no children. I have a note that the SNEDDEN family may have visited Ohio, USA. It seems a few of my family went to Ohio before coming to Australia. Hopefully we may find a connection. Thought Listers would like to be warned of this. Marie This from the TXHARDEM mailing list. I've check the link and the story appears to be valid. If you have submitted a family tree to Ancestry.com, you should know of the change about to be implemented by them. The Family Trees that have been donated to Ancestry for free distribution to other researchers are about to be sold by subscription: the OneWorldTree Preview cost will be $49.95 for 14 months. If you'd prefer that your information was not sold, there is a link below which will take you to a set of instructions on opting out by deleting your tree. After clicking on the link and arriving at the page, click on "What's a preview?" near the top of the page. Read thoroughly and then click on "View our checklist" (which appears on #3). Among other things, you will see the following sentence: "If for any reason you do not want your tree to be part of the new OneWorldTree service, you must delete it from the Ancestry World Tree database by tentatively May 21, 2004." This is the link: http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/trees/owt/ Methinks that APG doesn't really want people to pull their submissions cause they make is so difficult to find out how to do that. He had family living in Birtley and Urpeth. Could you send me the full details on the one living at Willington please? The family were Miners, so this one may be him. Thanks!
