Norma The easiest way I find is to check the GRO index, available at LDS centres & at main libraries in NZ, eg National Library, Porirua, Auckland etc. For some parts of the country The National Burial Index is available online (for a small fee), but I don't think Durham's covered - and I've mislaid the URL!
