I am making this query on behalf of a friend. Can any one tell me if "Etterick Buildings" North Hylton, Sunderland, could have been known by a different name or address. There is no reference to this address in the 1901 census My friend has obtained the birth certificate for her grandfather "Charles Taylor" born April 29th 1901 The place of birth was given as "Etterick Buildings" North Hylton, Co Durham. I have trawled through the 1901 census with her, there is no record of this address. On the 1871 census its "Etterick Hall Buildings", It's in the Castletown area "Charles Taylor" was baptized in the Parish of Castletown on May 29th 1901 his father was "Joseph Taylor" and mother "Eleanor Ann" (formally "Padgett") Trying to find the birth place of "Joseph" and "Eleanor Ann" !
