Hi Everybody I would be most obliged if there is anyone on the list who can help me to get out of this dead end. I am trying to trace the birth of one Matthew Carney. In the 1881 census he gives his birth place as Sunderland and his age as 26, living in Huddlestone Street Monkwearmouthshore. His marriage certificate in 1873 gives his age as 21 and his fathers name as Peter. His death certificate 1900 gives his age as 44. All this points to a birth date of around 1852-1856 I have searched the BMD indexes but cann,t find him. My request is, if anyone has access to the Sunderland 1861 and /or the 1871 census I would greatly appreciate a lookup for Matthew and/or Peter Carney.
