I am again relying on "Herrington and its folk" and a quick glance through this has not produced any reference to William Punshon other than under "East Herrington" where there is reference to a list of hearths for 1674 in which there are 20 hearths for East Herrington, one of which belongs to William Punshon. When dealing with the ancient village and the Manor House Douglas Smith mentions the name "Punshion". Alan Vickers.
