Hi Helen, I have the two volumn index to the 1851 census of Bishopwearmouth and am sorry to say that there is no William Dugdale shown. The only Dugdale is Martha Dugdale, visitor, unmarried, aged 20, servant. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Helen Dugdale" <helendugdale@evemail.net> To: <ENG-DUR-SUNDERLAND-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, April 29, 2004 3:19 PM Subject: [SUNDERLAND] 1851 & 1861 CENSUS LOOKUP PLEASE > Will anyone with the above census please have time to look for: > > In 1851 WILLIAM DUGDALE living in Bishopwearmouth. > In 1861 WILLIAM DUGDALE and wife ISABELLA at Exhibition Terrace, Hillfield, Bishopwearmouth, possibly with daughter Joanna and son John W. > > And, does anyone please have access to Sunderland Parish Church marriages for 1853/4 for marriage of William and Isabella? > > This would help to break down a huge brick wall, if anyone can help please! > > Regards, > Helen Dugdale > Rotherham, Yorkshire > > > ==== ENG-DUR-SUNDERLAND Mailing List ==== > Sunderland L.D.S centre, > http://www.lds.org.uk/genealogy/fhc/sunderland.htm > >
Brian I hope you don't mind me chipping in but I am desperate to find Conlan's, (any spelling, even Conley) who were definitely in Bishopwearthmouth in 1851 as my Grandmother Conl??? was born in the 1850's. I have hit a brick wall and am hoping you can help TIA Tessa
