    3. For all those who have requested more information of the book: PALLION 1874-1954. Church and People in a Shipyard Parish by CHG Hopkins Published  1954 by the Wearside Printing Co Ltd. 22-25 Borough Road Sunderland. No ISBN number. Were they around in 1954? I don't know whether the company is still operating, but I would think the book is  out of print. Perhaps and inter-library loan? Avril

    3. A search of abebooks.com site showed two copies of the Pallion book for sale from two uk bookseller priced at ca. £10.
