Thanks to everyone who supplied me with details of Spring Garden Lane. I am still trying to find details for the death of THOMAS COLLINS who appears to have died between the 1901 census and 1905, as on his wifes death cert. in 1905 she is described as the widow of THOMAS COLLINS , Glassmaker of 31 Spring Garden Lane.They had 2 sons, JOHN born 1893 and LAWRENCE born 1896.John who was my wifes father came to N Z in 1913 and I have been unable to find any trace of Lawrence.
