Hello I'm trying to track down anything to do with a William COLLINS who was born in about 1719. He married Dorothy JOPLING on 28.10.1742 in Bishopwearmouth. They had six children that I know of: William (born 1743), Richard (born 1745), Margaret (born 1747, died 1748), Mary (born and died 1749), Fenwick (born 1751, died 1752), and Robert (born 1757 - died 1809, in Ipswich). I've traced William Collins's burial record at Bishopwearmouth in 1763 and he was listed as aged 44 and was a tanner. I believe Dorothy Jopling was christened in 1722 in Bishopwearmouth and was the daughter of Richard Jopling and Margaret Yong (married 01.08.1721 St John's, Newcastle). It would be great if anyone could point me in the right direction for finding William Collins's birth. I've checked in Bishopwearmouth, but couldn't find him. Regards Lucy Bolt
