Dear Barbara, I'm sure there must be a link between our respective families. The tough bit is finding it! I kick off with a Sarah Ann STOREY [1814-1860] who married Cuthbert VAUX on 14th June 1834 at Holy Trinity, Sunderland. She was a daughter to John STOREY [1778-1860], who married Sarah STAFFORD [unresearched] at St Hilda's South Shields on 7th August 1803. I have it that John STOREY came from Tanfield, Co Durham. John STOREY is described as a painter. I don't know whether this means that he was an artist or a workman! All the other STOREYS in my tree are also children of this marriage, names being Mary, John, Matthew William, Thomas, Henry, Michael and Jane. Please let me know of any of this links with any thread of yours. I haven't made any link from the leads you kindly sent me, which I shall keep on file. Aye, Clifford A. _______________________________ -----Original Message----- Hi Clifford, I too am researching STOREY - I have almost too many to list !
