    3. Hello John, You do not say where the marriage took place or where you obtained the copies of the certificates from. According to a book I have, few marriage entries at the General Register Office contain original signatures of brides, grooms and witnesses. You should therefore approach the superintendent registrar or the minister of the church or chapel where the marriage took place to see whether he will consult the records for you. Many Anglican registers have been microfilmed, in which case the signatures are easy to check yourself. Hope this helps! Heidi
