Heidi, thanks for the information. The UK certificates are from the GRO. The two marriages that I'm interested in are: Robert William Crickmore & Christen Stuart - 25 Nov 1862, at the Parish Church, Bishopwearmouth, and Henry Crickmore & Harriet Ann Edwards - 30 Oct 1865, at the Parish Church, Monkwearmouth. I was thinking that there might be church records to check, but I wasn't sure whether the local registry records would have the bride's, groom's & witnesses' signatures. I'll have to get onto the Sunderland Registry Office and see what I can find out.
