An uncle of mine was living at the above address,as a single man,at the time of his marriage,in 1941.( He married at St George's Presbyterian Church , Belvedere Road , Durham.) Can any reader advise the nature of Argyle House, in wartime 1941,as well as before and after? My Uncle ,Walter Jackson URQUHART , was a Lance Corporal in the Military Police at the time of his marriage.He had been involved in the Evacuation of Dunkirk,but his rank and unit at that time ( 1940 ) is unknown to me Thank-you to any respondents Ray NZ
