Argyle House was a private school. It still exists although it is now ARGYLE HOUSE SCHOOL19-20 Thornhill Park, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear SR2 7LA. http://www.isbi.com/isbi-viewschool/2654-ARGYLE_HOUSE_SCHOOL.html It could be that the original premises were on Belvedere Road, Sunderland, and they subsequently moved to Thornhill Park.
