That's good to hear Averil are those records online at all as the Daniel Toft I believe would be mine If they are no online would you be able to pint me in the right direction to buy the book or Cod which ever it is Daniel Toft's death - 16th July 1848 from letters of administration (dated 20th December 1848) of his estate granted to his widow Mary. Value of estate was under 450 pounds. Seamen's register Daniel Toft aged 43 born Sunderland Number 4892 Toft family in Crew lists 'Zion's 27 May to 30 September 1836 from Liverpool to Quebec, Daniel Toft 44 born Sunderland is master and George Toft 14 born Sunderland is an apprentice.
