If you look on www.historicaldirectories.org you can search for all sorts of things. For example, there is George Allison, Builder, Fulwell Road in Kellys Directory of 1890 for Durham. Terraces then were often complete blocks built on a road of another road. For example, I am still looking for 11 Kensington Terrace, where Miles Abstemious Pearson lived in 1890 - according to Kelly - but there is no such number in Kensington Terrace in the 1891 census - it reappears in the 1901 census. The whole block was on a road named something else. Geoff Pearson Scotland, UK
