Hi Peter, My husbands GGrandmother GRACE GRIEVESON was born in Gateshead in 1850 but was christened in Monkwearmouth in 1851. Parents were ROBERT GRIEVESON and JANE PORTEOUS.I have found other siblings JANE ANN c 1851 Monkwearmouth,ELIZABETH AMANDA b 1852 Sunderland,ELEANOR HANNAH b 1857 Sunderland,WILLIAM PORTEOUS b 1860 Sunderland and GEORGE THOMAS b 1866 at Jarrow.
