Hi, Does SKS have any information on "Shore" or "Monkwearmouth Shore Town" for the period 1840 - 1860. My g-g-grandfather's marriage registration of 1850 mentions these locations. As his occupation is listed as "mariner" I assume that this part of Sunderland was inhabited by people connected to the sea, but I would dearly like to know more.
