If anyone has access to the 1861 Sunderland census would they be able to have a look at the name Lovett please I have the 1871 census with William Lovett aged 49 at Church Street -Ford -South Hylton He gave his place of birth as Hylton -Durham so I am assuming - big mistake I know -that he was born there I am also trying to decipher his wife Sarah's place of birth 1871 census could be Staffordshire or Yorkshire Ashbury (?) 1881 Yorks but could be Ashby or Astley I wish the enumerators had not scribbled !
