Hi Listers My g,grandfather Thomas Fairless died in 1913, the place of death was given as workhouse infirmary, his home address was given as Trimdon St. The Fairless family were fairly well off so I'm wondering why he would have been in the infirmary, was this not just for residents of the workhouse? Or was it for everyone? Can anyone help with this query please? Regards Julia
