Hi everyone I have still not traced the marriage of my Gr Grandparents James Allan and Elizabeth Batty I think it was prior to 1861 as he was at sea on the Aurora aged 27 and married, I think they would have wed in Sunderland or Durham as their first born was in Sunderland in 1863.
