Could someone suggest the easiest location to inquire of Death and Burial Records for Richard Coates, husband to Elizabeth (Field) Coates, b. abt. 1781 Bishopwearmouth and married July 23, 1801 Bishopwearmouth. I believe he was a shoemaker. In the late 1790's, was shoemaking an apprenticed profession and if so would there be some record of that? Thanks, Susan Canada.
