The twins Robert Tindle Dodds and Thomas Tindle Dodds were born in Monkwearmouth in 1844. They were pilots and well known in the Roker area. Thomas had a distinctive bushy beard that came down almost to his waist. I am told that an article about them appeared in the Sunderland Echo and until recently there was a photograph of them in "The Pilot Cutter", now renamed "The Harbour View". Help in tracing the article or the photograph would be greatly appreciated. Colin
