I note the previous answers. This is simply a little anecdote I think subscribers to this List may be interested in. Several years ago the Sunderland Branch of the NDFHS used to meet in Murton Street, in what was then the RAFA Club, but which has now become a Hell's Angels Club (!). I'm not sure of the number but some of the experts on the List may know what it must be. One of our speakers was quite dumfounded when he turned up. He had been told the address but had only half believed it and when he arrived he said that his family had lived there in the nineteenth century! I cannot now recall his surname, except that it was not one of those already mentioned. When he wrote up his family history and deposited a copy with the NFDHS Library at Bolbec Hall (as I hope we all have done, or will do eventually, to preserve the information for the foreseeable future) he called it "Return to Murton Street". Perhaps that will tell our experts who it is I am thinking of! Geoff Nicholson
