Many thanks to Sharon, Grahame and Stan for your replies re my query (Is Tatham Street in the Bishopwearmouth area?). I had found a memorial entry to an Edmund Gordon in the Bethesda Free Church in Tatham Street on The North East War Memorials Project site http://www.newmp.org.uk/ . I was wondering if this may have been my great grandfather, Edmund Liddle Gordon, who lived in the North Bishopwearmouth in the Ravensworth Street area. It seemed a possibility as there is also a Richard Gordon named on the same plaque which was the name of one of Edmund's brothers. Sadly we have lost contact with our Sunderland family so cannot check if they know.
