This is an old thread, however in December 2006 there was a request for a photograph of the church which had been destroyed by enemy action in 1943. I have located an undated cutting from 'Sunderland Echo' which has a photo of the church taken in its early days. I willl attelpt to take a scan of this cutting if I can.
