Hi Meg, Stocks Hill was the area where Millum Terrace and Hamilton Street were. The actual stocks were near where the old National School was in Millum Terrace, and not far from the "Cage", a small prison cell, on Cage Hill. Apparently the stocks were still in existence in 1815. The present day site is about where the bend is in St. Peter's Way to the east of St. Peter's Church. Stan
