Apparently the Sunderland Street Project, which has funding from English Heritage, has the aim of recording every street name that does or did exist in Sunderland from as early as can be got back to the present day. I don't know what area is to be covered. The project is based in the Donnison School, Church Walk and the project has to be complete within two years. I believe that there was a small piece about the project in the Sunderland Echo on Tuesday. Stan
