Individual churches sometimes produce their own histories, and the Wearside Historic Churches Group has published others. The Group (at St Mary's Building, Polytechnic) has a collection of records and photographs. Much more material of importance and interest is in the Local Studies Room at Sunderland Central Library. ...." It is possible that the group ceased to function at about the time that the Polytechnic became the Universit.
