Thanks Alan and Stan, I was wondering if the Wearside Historic Church Group had covered the Union Congregational Church in any of their work or publications. Also I have been looking, particularly to find a research project on the Salvation Army in Sunderland written by Isobel Horsburgh and referred to by Geoff Milburn and Stuart Miller in Sunderland, River, Town and People, p122 note 40. Maybe this didn't reach publication?
