Hi Doris On the South Hylton Local History site there is a Commercial Hotel at 32 High Street in 1911, occupied by Andrew Willis, his wife Margaret and Willis children and Whitaker stepchildren.     3. Hi Eileen In the 1911 Census it was Commercial House, Ferryboat Landing, Sunderland, Registration Sub District Sunderland East, so not at South Hylton. There were 14 people living there. It was the old Commercial Inn building that had been converted for residential use.
