Could someone please tell me whether or not there would be an entry in the Book of Remembrance (attached to the Death Index on the Sunderland Council website) for a death that occurred somewhere other than in the Sunderland Registration District. The reason I ask is the following: I found an entry in the book for a Francis Brown who died on the 28th of September 1963. It included his birth date, the 15th of December 1886. I have a Francis Brown in my tree who was born on the same date in Cowpen Quay, Northumberland but spent the majority of his life in Southwick (I don't have any details of his death). When I checked the BMD's for this entry the only one I could find that fitted was in the Durham Eastern Reg District (December Qtr 1963, age at death 87). I've checked the BMD's to see if there was another Francis Brown born in 1886 but there was only one entry in Northumberland ( March Qtr 1887 Tynemouth Reg District - my Francis) and none in County Durham at all.
