As I understand it the Book of Remembrance is for cremations at Sunderland Crematorium only. A death is registered in the district in which it took place, which could be a hospital or nursing home outside the Sunderland Registration District. My mother's death is registered in Newcastle as she died in hospital there, but she was cremated in Sunderland.
