I can offer only a crumb of info on the name the Embleton. My g-g-aunt, Thomasina Dodd (b. 1806, Sunderland area) married William Embleton in 1840. William is believed to have had two brothers: John (1800-1866) and Jacob (d. 1866). The marriage is reported in www.sunderland.gov.uk/pages/registrars. I can offer no citation on the rest.
