Looking on the web another example of this photographer's work is quoted as having a statement: " A Maclean Middlesbro' & Blackpool: and Mack, 12 Holmeside Sunderland 3798" - notice the colon after Blackpool. I think this supports the suggestion that it is two businesses that are being identified. BobH
