Does anyone on the list recall the names & whereabouts of sweet factories in Sunderland? I can recall the Mayfair on the corner of Old Chester Road & Low Row near St Mary's School but my 94 yr old aunt worked at another one in the area.I remember her telling me that in WW2 they used Vaux stables as their air-raid shelter, if that helps pin it down.
